The Pet Fest at Best Friends events at Castleton
and Carmel were a lot of fun.
Blanca (Marilyn and Will), Olgi (Hollie)
and Buffy (Debbie) served as ambassador's for the breed
as the humans passed out brochures, answer questions,
etc. We hope to have photos in our gallery soon.
There were contests and Blanca was a finalist in the
"Bob for Dogs" hot dogs thrown into a wading pool and
they had to "snorkel" around for them. Blanca didn't
come up with any hot dogs but she really was fun to
watch with her nose under water walking around. Olgi was
a finalist in the "Best Trick" contest - he would sit
and wave to people. Buffy WON the "Ice Cream Eating"
contest as the 1st to finish (no surprise to any of
use).

Paws and Think presents...
Dog Olympics and Carnival:
Held at Eagle Creek Canine Bark Park, this event featured a dog fortune teller, paw readers, agility
events, races, frisbee, canine costume contest, a dog
show, swimming and more.
Paws and Think provides animal-based therapy to at-risk
populations in central Indiana in partnership with state
and community agencies.

Dog's Night Out - Humane Society of Johnson County:
This event was held at Ritter’s Frozen Custard, 3219
W County Line, Greenwood from 6 til 9 pm. A
portion of sales benefited CAR.

Scales & Tails Fest - A Celebration of Pets: This
event celebrated the variety of American pets from tiny
ants and furry rabbits to potbelly pigs and lovable
llamas. As part of this second annual celebration of
pets, the Indiana State Museum hosted rescue
organizations, offered opportunities for pet welfare
education and showcased the community contributions of
animals and their human counterparts. Interactive
activities and entertainment made this event this cat's
meow!

Mutt Strut: What a great time we (and our bullies)
had at the track. We had a lot a visitors and
answered loads of questions, while the bullies spent the
time soaking up all the attention. The pet walk
benefited the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
